Our Team Partners are the backbone & spirit behind the Tiger Organization! It is their ongoing Support and Vision that enables our community to enjoy this great Maritime Jr. “A” hockey.
Although the Tigers are owned by the City of Campbellton, the Team Partners have been handed the responsibility of operating the franchise. This includes managing:
1. All hockey operations
2. All team community events
3. All costs associated with the Team
4. Billeting of players
5. League representation
6. All Media events & promotions
The Partners have formed a ‘non for profit’ organization and at the end of each operating year any profits earned will be given back to the Civic Center to be used in areas in the arena that are to enhance the overall hockey experience for both participants of the facility and the fans. To operate a team in the Maritime Jr. Hockey League from the Restigouche area is the most expensive in the league. Additional travel, meals & billeting costs increase the Tiger’s operating budget significantly.
Up until 2004 the Team was subsidized by the Municipality. With ever increasing demands for the tax payers money to be spent elsewhere the new group of partners felt it was important to give up this tax payer subsidy and become 100% self-sufficient. The following ways are how the Tiger’s Organization earns it revenues:
1. Partners each contribute $2,500 annually
2.The sale of local Corporate Sponsorship Packages
3.The sale of advertising rights within the Civic Center
4.The rental of Boxes at the Civic Center
5.Game night activities (ticket sales, 50/50 draws, program sales, etc)
6.Annual fundraisers (golf tournament, annual auction & dinner, New Year’s Party, etc)
7.Donations ‘in kind’ from local businesses & media partners
Finally, it’s with great pride that we “The Partners of the Tiger’s” collectively give over 5,000 hours annually of our own time to provide the Restigouche Region with a quality, Jr. “A” Hockey Club that represents our region proudly. If you are interested in becoming one of these Proud Partners then we would be pleased to welcome your support.
